The opportunity
An opportunity exists for a professional and personable HR Assistant to support the HR Manager in delivering HR initiatives to the business. You will work 2-3 days per week on a casual basis, providing administrative support across a range of HR areas including, recruitment and selection, learning and development, policies and other generalist HR functions.
As HR Assistant you will also perform the role of HRIS Administrator. Working closely with the HR Manager, you will act as the subject matter expert for our HR system (Employment Hero), providing ongoing support and maintenance while implementing solutions that maximise system capabilities and drive efficiencies across the business.
This is an exciting foot-in-the-door role for someone eager to learn, develop strong HR capabilities, and grow within the HR profession.
Your experience and attributes
The ideal candidate will be a current HR student with a genuine interest in the field. You will have experience in a similar HR support or administrative support role, with the ability to organise and prioritise your tasks well, whilst building relationships and maintaining confidentiality in a busy environment. You will also be happy to lend a helping hand around the office as required, whether it is covering reception or other general administration duties.
You will be able to work autonomously, exercise judgement, and maintain strict confidentiality while thriving in a fast-paced environment. You will bring excellent communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a high level of professionalism. Your attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and proactive “can-do” attitude will set you up for success in this role.
