Tertiary Student Intern - 2027

As a final year tertiary student in 2027, gain paid work experience one day per week, to learn about teaching in a Christian school. This is a contract position commencing Week 1, Term 1 2027 and is one-day-per-week, term-time only. The program has been designed to be completed around your final year of study, to provide you with the opportunity to be a part of the St Andrew’s Cathedral School community and to learn about teaching in a Christian school. This role offers valuable hands-on experience for tertiary students considering a career in education within a supportive Anglican school environment. As an Intern, you will be provided with: a dedicated Mentor Teacher support and oversight of the program(s) by the School Coordinator collegial weekly Intern meetings, including devotionals, professional discussions about the development of teaching practice, and reflections on the progression of your individual teaching goals. A tertiary student in their final year in 2027 (Bachelor or Master of Education/ Teaching) Possess a genuine interest to learn about teaching in a Christian School Able to demonstrate a growing knowledge of recent developments in the theory and practice of pedagogy.
