Brimbank City Council's Engineering Infrastructure & Services department presents an exciting work experience opportunity for Civil Engineering university students to undertaken work placement for twelve (12) weeks commencing in September 2026.

We are currently seeking a Student Engineer to join our team based at our offices in Sunshine on a temporary basis.
The placement is offered on a temporary full-time basis over 3 months.
The role
Reporting to the Traffic Management Coordinator, we are seeking an enthusiastic aspiring Engineer who can bring their skills and experience for an opportunity to work with Council’s Engineering Services department.
To succeed in this placement, you will
Be undertaking minimum third year in Civil Engineering
Have a current drivers license
Have good Microsoft Office skills
Able to work as part of a team and individually
Willingness to learn
Have good verbal and written communication skills
