The Opportunity Mirvac is reimagining the future of Sydney’s iconic Darling Harbour through the transformational Harbourside redevelopment - a precinct that will set a new benchmark for mixed‑use urban places. We’re now looking for a Site Cadet (Part Time) to join the project team and gain hands‑on experience in every stage of construction delivery. This is an ideal role for a Construction Management student (at least second year student), offering part‑time hours during university study periods, with the opportunity for increased hours during semester breaks. About the Role As a Site Cadet, you’ll rotate across core project functions—project management, HSE, quality assurance, design coordination, planning, commercial support and general site administration - gaining real‑world experience on one of Sydney’s landmark projects. Key responsibilities include: *HSE: Support project team with safety procedures, inspections, audits, and risk assessments. *Planning & Programme: Assist with scheduling, programme tracking, and subcontractor coordination. *Design: Support design tracking, shop drawings, samples, RFIs and document control. *Quality Assurance: Assist with defect management, QA documentation and Visibuild. *Commercial: Assist procurement, tender documentation, cost tracking and invoice processing. *Reporting & Admin: Attend meetings, prepare minutes and support site office admin. *Project Completion: Assist with OC and PC documentation, handover packs and post‑completion tasks. What You’ll Bring *Studying Construction Management, Engineering or similar. *Ideally, previous work experience in Construction or similar industries. *Strong willingness to learn, ask questions and problem‑solve. *Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. *Strong relationship‑building skills. Work Type Part‑time during university semesters, with potential for increased hours during breaks.
